Harold Ickes: Clinton Taking it to the Credentials Committee
May 31st, 2008 by YillbWe’ll at the Democratic National Committee Rules and Bylaws Committee, the Michigan’s Democratic Party chairman Mark Brewer’s recommendation of giving Hillary Clinton 69 delegates, and Barack Obama 59 delegates just passed by 19 in favor, 8 against, one not voting because they are from Michigan. Each delegate will get a half vote, resulting in 34.5 for Clinton, and 29.5 for Obama. Unpleddged (I’m assuming Super Delegates) receiving a half vote as well.

May 23rd, 2008 by YillbSo when this whole Democratic nomination process started it was pledged delegates that would determine the nominee. After it became clear that Clinton wasn’t the inevitable nominee and that she and Barack Obama were splitting the pledged delegates it would end up falling onto Super Delegates to determine the nominee. Obama said they should vote with the majority, or how their voters had voted, Clinton said they should vote their conscience and nominate the most electable.
